World History Forecast In Daniel Chapter 2

The head of gold represented the kingdom of Babylon. Babylon was conquered by Cyrus in 539 B.C. (See Daniel 2:31-43)

Chest and arms of silver represented the Medes and Persian monarchy. It lasted until 331 B.C. when it was taken by Alexander the Great. (See Daniel 2:31-43)

Greece (belly & thighs of bronze) ruled the world until about 168 B.C. when the Roman empire became the dominant world power. (See Daniel 2:31-43)

Legs of iron represents the Roman Empire until about 538 AD. (See Daniel 2:31-43)

Ten separate powers typified by the iron-clay feet (some of which remain today) resulted from the original Roman Kingdom.
