If you were God...
Would you create the universe and make it so vast and incomprehensible, that not even a million lifetimes of study can unravel all of its mysteries?
Would you make a cell so small, yet so complex in structure and function that not even the best scientists can reproduce it, given the exact raw materials?
Would you take the risk of creating humans in your
image and in your likeness and patiently watch them guess and believe that
they originated from muck or from a cosmic accident? 
Would you be able to tolerate puny mortals cursing and swearing, corrupting and swindling? Could you watch Israelis and Palestinians fighting each other? Would you be amazed at suicide bombers exploding in your name and politicians trying to fabricate peace?
Would you be able to watch dictators act as though they were God and believers as though they have no God?
Would you overwhelm mankind with every bit of the infinite knowledge about who you are and what you are about, so that there would be no need to trust or have faith?
Would you abandon all laws and rules, including the physical laws that govern the solar system, the laws of mechanics, of quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, the law of cause and effect, the laws of health, and the moral code of ten commandments to create more 'freedom' for your subjects?
Would you condescend to the nature of your creatures and make them tease and mock and kill you, in order to convince them that you love them?
Would you hold back terrible plagues could wipe out those who tell our kids that "Santa Claus is really real but at the same time, say that God is a myth, or that no one knows for sure if He actually exists?"
Would you spare the homosexual clergy(wo)men who think that You changed your mind on what you meant marriage to be since the day you dealt your hot judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah? For surely, you did mean that marriage was for Adam and Eve, NOT Adam and Steve! If you were God, how could it be wrong for the kleptomaniac to steal while the homosexual is claiming your blessings on his or her sinfully-warped impulses?
If you were God, and having had your creatures betray you, would you finally trust to take an exceedingly large number of them to assemble around your throne on an extended vacation? I mean, would you take them to heaven?
Just think of it...
If you were God you would not give up your position to any of your subjects. Just think how tenaciously elected leaders of this world cling to power. Consider how even political leaders hold onto their positions - some with devastating cruelty.
Then imagine an eternal God, un-elected, self-existing, everlasting, all powerful, and omniscient. Think of all those attributes... characteristics which mortality cannot contain nor assume. How could God cease being God?
That's one thing that is impossible for God to do, BUT His mercy endures forever!
